With the big kids now having homework every night, we thought it would be a great idea for Squeaky to have some workbooks as well. Tonight while Bug and Buddy were working on math, Squeaky started in a “learning to cut book!”

See how PROUD she is!!!

Apparently Squeaky had a bit larger goals tonight. She wasn’t just going to learn to cut on paper…she is going to be a hairstylist!

However it is hard to do your OWN hair…and not something you can teach yourself. So we went to the professionals.

How do I look??

The nitty gritty…Squeaky was sitting between her two older siblings…her daddy was making dinner…all of them were at the center island of our kitchen. My phone rang, so I left the room to take the call. Tim’s phone rang, so he answered and took the call while still making dinner. Squeaky took the scissors, and LOCKED herself in the bathroom!!! By the time I got the door open, she had cut her hair!! I am thankful that it was “just hair” and that she didn’t cut herself or anyone else! Just sad that it was her hair! It will grow back, she will only look like a boy for awhile! And hey, first day of preschool was last week, so I have those pictures taken!
The lady who cut her hair suggested we keep it long even though there are chunks taken out of the back! In her opinion, if we were to cut it all short, the hair would be too thin. Especially where Squeaky had cut the back of her very short. The lady thinking her shortest cuts were too short to make it all that length and so just making it long, thinner and “chunky” would be better. So we have a thin mullet going on…not sure how we will “do” her hair for awhile!!
And I really was just going to blog about her learning to cut the paper…what was I thinking??
i am only laughing to hold back the tears for you. I would have just freaked! Now I sooooo dont feel bad that Brianna is “delayed” in the area of cutting!!!!
OMG is right! Where did you take her????? Is she sad?
Sarah is much nicer than I am. I am just plain old laughing! She did a pretty good job too! That is hilarious….but not really!!!!
I laughed too, she’s cute no matter what and it’ll grow back…
OOOHHH Mamasita,
I have been there. Shannon cut her hair long ago AND she cut Wren’s TOO!!!
It was in the fringe, so we left it…….sorry.
I have the girlies practicing their cutting at the table while I make dindin. I fold the paper in half, lenght-wise and draw horizontal lines and they have to follow that. It’s what they do at school too.
loveyou…………S
I’m so sorry this happened!! She’s just such a cutie it doesn’t matter in any case, though!
Her hair looks great! Do you think you could get her to cut Grandma’s?
