Charlie is doing great!! He is really fitting in with our family!! I checked some dog books out from the library yesterday, some that were recommended to me. Now I just need time to read them! Charlie’s whining has gone down at night, which is great! I would say he hasn’t whined since the first night, but I know he was whining last night, I just made Tim deal with it! It still makes for a sleepless night though, even if I wasn’t the one comforting him.
Charlie LOVES to chew!! That is one reason I needed a book! I know puppies chew, we expected it…what I wasn’t thinking is that his favorite chew toy, would be MY feet!! OUCH!! He now has bones in every room his allowed in. I am thinking we are all going to have to carry one with us at all times. Kind of like a dog “pepper spray.” (I will see what the book says!)

Henry would chew feet too. Someone told me to use a spray bottle with water in it and spray him and say NO!!! and you know what……it works…..and I gave him a bone to chew on and this redirected him. It was instant and gentle….maybe try that!!!
